Components in a house
- Consumer unit (distribution board): contains circuit breakers or fuses for each circuit.
- Switches: turn lights on and off. One-way switches control a light from one place; two-way switches control a light from two places (e.g. top and bottom of stairs).
- Socket outlets: for plugging in appliances.
- Lamp holders and bulbs.
