Circles and Pythagoras theorem
18 min
Circles
- Radius (r): centre to the edge. Diameter (d) = 2r.
- Circumference C = πd = 2πr
- Area A = πr²
- Use π = 22/7 or 3.142.
Example: r = 7 cm. C = 2 x 22/7 x 7 = 44 cm. A = 22/7 x 7 x 7 = 154 cm².
