Profit and loss

  • Profit = selling price (SP) - cost price (CP)
  • Loss = CP - SP
  • Percentage profit = profit ÷ CP x 100

A trader buys a radio at KES 2,000 and sells it at KES 2,500. Profit = 500. Percentage profit = 500/2,000 x 100 = 25%.

Discount
