Trade is the buying and selling of goods and services.
- Local trade: within a country.
- Regional trade: between neighbouring countries, e.g. Kenya sells tea and manufactured goods to Uganda.
- International trade: with countries outside the region.
Kenya's main exports: tea, horticulture (flowers, vegetables, fruit), coffee.
