Mountains
- Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania is the highest mountain in Africa (5,895 m).
- Mount Kenya, Mount Elgon, the Rwenzori Mountains (Uganda/DR Congo border) and the Ethiopian Highlands.
The Great Rift Valley
A long valley formed by faulting. It has steep sides called escarpments and many lakes such as Turkana, Naivasha, Tanganyika and Malawi (Nyasa).
