Similar figures
Two figures are similar if they have the same shape: corresponding angles are equal and corresponding sides are in the same ratio.
Linear scale factor (k)
k = length in image ÷ corresponding length in object.
If a triangle with sides 3, 4, 5 is enlarged to sides 6, 8, 10, then k = 2.
